The former expo site in Shanghai is a vast area of land situating on both banks of the Huangpu River. After the World Expo event in 2010, most of the pavilions are demolished and replaced by new development successively. Until today in 2019, the site is still an area in transformation, featured by fragments of Expo remains, undeveloped field, and new office/housing clusters. On the other hand, the complicated infrastructural condition in this area implicates difficulties and potentials for future development. This work is done in collaboration with all the members in GSD Spring 2019 STU1509 Creating New Centralities in Shanghai.
