SHANGHAI MORPHOLOGY

Individual Work

Shanghai is a cosmopolitan city influenced by its colonial history. As a port city and a gateway for mainland China, the city has an urban form that is featured by a sense of mixture, shaped by its diverse cultural input across time. The series of drawings illustrates the current featured urban morphologies in Shanghai. This work is done as the teaching assistant preparation work for GSD Spring 2019 Option Studio Creating New Centralities in Shanghai.
